Is PrizeRebel Legit?

Today's post is a change of pace from the usual Squidoo related posts, today I'm going to talk about my favourite GPT (PrizeRebel) and discuss if PrizeRebel is legit. So if you were wondering 'is PrizeRebel legit?' read on to find out.

What is PrizeRebel?
PrizeRebel is a get-paid-to (GPT) website which gives you points for completing surveys, offers, shopping and many other tasks. If you want to learn more about how GPT websites work you can't go past thrivingmom's lens: What is a GPT Site?

On PrizeRebel you can trade your points in for a number of prepaid gaming cards such as Riot Points, Ultimate Game Cards, Club Penguin memberships, Moshi Monster memberships, Karma Koin, Roblox Game Cards and much more. PrizeRebel also offers non-game prizes such as Amazon or eBay gift cards.

So is PrizeRebel Legit?
PrizeRebel is 100% legitimate, I've personally been a member since 2008 and have recieved countless prizes (over $200 of League of Legends Riot Points included). I've had very good experiences with both their official forum and support staff. If you stick to the rules outlined in their Terms of Service you'll have no problem recieving your free prize.

If you are interested in starting on PrizeRebel or just want to learn more stop by their official website.

2 New Squidoo Lenses & Uni Holidays

I managed to be very productive after finishing my exams earlier this week, quickly publishing two lenses that I had been meaning to work on for a while.

The first lens covers the best game consoles and was really just a small experiment using the SquidTools box builder (which has been coming up alot lately on the forum). I've also been looking into creating more sales orientated lenses to protect myself against the ever increasing competition for tier payments. This made the lens a great kill two birds with one stone situation and it is already showing some good results, so hopefully it will be a winner this Christmas.

My second lens was inspired by a discussion I saw recently on a forum about ways to ease the pain of Christmas costs and Amazon gift cards was the focus. As such I decided to piece them together, throw in an affiliate link (to PrizeRebel.com) and see how it goes. it was a fun lens to make and I'm hoping it will see some success. You can see it here

Now that I'm on university holidays I've got some big plans for my websites (which are really just simple affiliate squeeze pages) and also build on my Games Like series of lenses (I've got about 30 lens ideas just waiting to be created). I'm also going to continue to grow my new YouTube Channel which has already built up 111 subscribers after two weeks. I've also meet the requirements of the SocialBlade partnership program so I've applied for that.

Comics, YouTube, Payday & Stuff

Last week someone shared this wonderful comic on the Wizzley and Squidoo forum from 'the oatmeal' about producing content online. While he focuses on the issues of writing comics there are alot of things that can also be applied to writing online and it's definitely an entertaining read, so check it out here: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/making_things if you haven't seen it already.

In other news I've revived my YouTube career over at my new YouTube channel, I used to have an old channel where I uploaded gameplay/walkthroughs and managed to reach abour 1.2k subscribers, so hopefully I can reach there and beyond this time. I'm hoping to get into a SocialBlade partnership at the end of this month (I already have the view requirements) to start making money from these videos and integrate them with Squidoo to earn some extra revenue, not to mention its just fun to make game related videos.

It was also Squidoo payday today where everyone recieved payments for royalties from September. My Squidoo payday was a 21% increase on last months and looking at my payday stats I didn't get paid Tier 2 for many lenses that are now comfortably insde Tier 2, so I can only expect this great growth to continue (fun fact; my Squidoo earnings have increased a total of ~400% since September last year).

As a final note I've finished 3 of my 4 exams thus far, just have to get through Derivatives and then I am on holidays for 3 months and I've got some very big plans for Squidoo and YouTube during that time, I can't wait.

New Lens - Mastery Guide

I fianlly got around to publishing a lens I have wanted to do for at least a year now (yay).

The lens is a guide to choosing masteries in League of Legends to go along with my rune page guide. It took hundreds of hours to put this lens together simply due to the amount of game time and research goes into a lens like that. I always pride myself on making these lenses the best resouce on a topic because its the only way that pages like these are ever successful.

For lenses like this I do sometimes get the feeling that the Squidoo community doesn't appreciate them or see the work that goes into them, which is understandable as most of them aren't gamers and even less actually play League of Legends. It's a repeating issue when you publish in the video game niche, but more on that some other time.

Create A Great User Experience - Using Similar Content

A recent thread over at the Squidoo forums got my brain flowing on a new blog post today. The topic in question was about using duplicate introductions for a series of lenses and generated some great discussion.

I felt the issue was close at heart because its something I've had to tackle in a few niches, you can see my thoughts on the forum thread here.

To summarise the thread posed the question about whether or not duplicate introductions was an issue (from both a Squidoo and Google perspective). With the general consensus being that:

  • A copied chunk of text is never a good thing to repeat (both for Squidoo/Google).
  • Repeating two-three sentences over a series of lenses create a good user experience.
I discussed this pretty heavily along with other lensmasters in my post so I won't repeat it too much. Just got me thinking about creating good user experiences, something I'll hopefully touch on in future posts.

Squidoo Breaks Amazon & Ebay Reporting

For those lensmasters that make constant sales (thankfully I am part of this group these days) you may have noticed that sales have been coming in at odd times over the past week.

There has been a new forum thread popping up at least every night about the sales delay in the activity stream and it seems Gil decided to poke his head in the Squidoo forums to tell everyone that due to the amount of sales Squidoo makes during the final quarter we are constantly breaking the Amazon (and Ebay) reporting systems.

So pat yourself on the back if you're a Squidoo lensmaster. And don't forget that Halloween is now over and its time to get cracking on those Christmas sales lenses.
